Prosperity
Working to provide training for employment and stimulating enterprise
We help people who are unemployed or who are leaving school in search of work, to develop their skills and experience by working on local regeneration projects. We deliver a range of environmental ‘intermediate labour market’ programmes (ILM). These pay apprentices a wage while they work on a wide range of activities from building new play areas, recycling white goods to running kerbside collection schemes. In doing this we help people find permanent jobs and give support to those setting up their own enterprises.
Working to help businesses succeed
We help businesses stay competitive by improving their environmental performance and helping them to develop better community relations. We support them in cutting costs by offering training and advice on resource efficiency and business improvements.
We advise businesses to recognise the benefits of sustainable construction through the development of Eco Centres. We built the first Eco centre in 1996 entirely from materials that are recycled or from sustainable sources. Due to its award winning success another Eco Centre is planned for South Tyneside.
We support whole business communities to improve their practises and reduce crime.
Room Hire Facilities
At the Eco Centre, we take pride in working in a carbon negative building, reducing our overall organisational carbon footprint. We hire out facilities for training, board meetings and conferences.
If you would like to hold a meeting or an event in our carbon negative building and reduce your organisation’s carbon footprint, why not take a look at what services we can offer you?
