Groundwork in your area
As an organisation that is set to become the North East’s leading force in environmental regeneration. Groundwork North East went live on 1st July 2009 bringing together several smaller Trusts which had already been making a positive impact on local communities under one banner.
The body will be at the forefront of efforts to tackle a range of green economy issues, from regeneration projects and climate change to employment and business services. Its initiatives include involving young and unemployed people in positive community-based schemes throughout the region.
Groundwork North East operates across all 12 Local Authority areas covering the all four sub regions of the North East of England.
